Prohibited products
Last updated Apr 1, 2026
Click2Shop is built for trusted UK SMEs, not grey-market or risky cross-border sales. Product restrictions should be visible to sellers during listing creation and visible to buyers before checkout.
Not allowed
- Counterfeit, replica, stolen, or infringing goods.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and unsafe knives.
- Controlled drugs, prescription medicines, and unlicensed medical claims.
- Products that breach UK sanctions, export controls, or marketplace safety rules.
- Products intended to move buyers off-platform for payment or fulfilment.
Restricted or country-dependent
- Food, drink, alcohol, supplements, cosmetics, liquids, aerosols, batteries, electronics, plants, seeds, animal products, and children's products.
- Age-restricted goods where the seller cannot prove compliant checks.
- Items that carriers refuse or only ship through specialist services.
What sellers should see
Listing forms should ask for material, ingredient, battery, liquid, age restriction, product safety, weight, dimensions, and destination-country restrictions when relevant. If a listing is blocked or needs review, the seller should see the exact reason and next action.
What buyers should see
Product cards and detail pages should clearly say when an item cannot ship to the selected country, may require customs checks, or has age/product restrictions. The cart and checkout should block restricted purchases before payment.
